Pritpal started her career in electronic media in 1991. She started with AIR as casual announcer, later joined television and reported for "Parakh" for close to two years. She was with NDTV for five years as correspondent, news writer, anchor and output editor. Meanwhile, her stories and poetry have also been published in literary magazines and Sunday editions of national dailies.
